Gambling

Rebeccah Hendrickson interviews Catherine Williams, the Director of Programming, Planning and Operations for Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability. There she handles the day to day operations and serves as a crucial resource to help those in the community that deal with problems of obsessive gambling.

Speaking with Hendrickson, Williams outlines her grass-roots movement to inform citizens of resources available to the community, a program set up to educate students of the perils of gambling, and how determining a diagnosis of gambling addiction has evolved with the recent release of the latest Diagnostics and Statistical Analysis Manual.
