Make Me a Sandwich: A Celebration of the Women Who Didn’t Stay in the Kitchen was  conceived and directed by Temple student Taylor Plunkett-Clements as part of an Independent Study project. The program is divided into several comedy sketches that parody iconic female sitcom stars, while intertwining interviews conducted with media professors on the history and impact of their work.

The comedic segments feature familiar characters like Liz Lemon from 30 Rock, Lucille Ricardo from I Love Lucy, Roseanne Conners from Roseanne, and Hannah Horvath from Girls.

Professors Paul Gluck (also General Manager of TUTV), Sherri Hope Culver (of Media Inside Out) and Jim McKairnes help to illustrate the history and influence that these women have had on the entertainment industry.

The 26 minute program will premiere on TUTV this Friday, April 18 at 12:30 p.m. and re-air at 8:30 p.m. Tune in online.
